Job Title: Estimator/Buyer

Location: Loughborough

Salary: £30k - £35k (DOE)

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent- Monday-Friday

My client is an established Manufacturing Business that provide, Retail solutions for Point of Sale and Point of Purchase. They work with Major clients that you'd regularly see on the high street. The work they do is diverse and exciting with a real understanding of their client's vision on how you perceive their Brand.

In recognition of their UK presence, strong brand and continued growth, we're recruiting for an Office Based Estimator to join their vibrant team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in estimating. You'll be working independently, however, be an integral part of the team to ensure all the customer requirements are interpreted and translated correctly. You will be responsible for receiving enquiries and submitting quotations to the sales team within short lead-times and purchasing raw materials for production jobs as well as ensuring goods are received within the required timelines.

The Role:

• Receive and process client orders, provide technical advice and estimates ensuring expectations are met

• Manage time and workload, effective costing of manufacture processing

• Advise Clients of better or alternative solutions

• Populate estimate forms ahead of conversion

• Convert enquiries into orders

• Sales administration and produce daily sales updates

• Maintain and grow client relationships

• Ensure paperwork is accurate, to a high standard and easily accessible for the internal teams

• Attend meetings, training and team briefings as required

• Be punctual - and adopt a flexible approach to working hours

• Manage, track and process all projects

• Manage supplier relationships and be a strong negotiator on prices

The Candidate

• Have excellent communication skills - written and verbal

• Excellent attention to detail

• Self-driven and motivated to succeed

• Previous experience in estimating and purchasing within the metal, joinery and acrylic fabrication industry

• In-depth knowledge of various materials and production processes

• Thorough knowledge of estimating processes

• Work accurately with detailed information

• Possess excellent IT skills

• Manage time constraints effectively and be a natural forward planner

• An eye for detail and analytical

• Ability to read production drawings
