Role Overview

ICAP Charity Day is TP ICAP's annual fundraising event, where broker commission and revenue generated on the day is donated to a variety of good causes. Since its inception in 1993 charity day has raised over £165 million, supporting more than 3,000 charitable causes across the world. A link to the Charity Day website can be found here: https://

Sitting within the Marketing & Communications team, you will work closely with the Head of Global Community Engagement to support in the planning, organising and executing of Charity Day.

Role Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Head of Global Community Engagement in the execution of Charity Day.
  • Liaising with facilities, building management and external suppliers to ensure smooth running of event.
  • Working directly with charities to source activities for the event.
  • Preparing and drafting celebrity 'walker packs'.
  • Collating all celebrity biographies of those attending Charity Day.
  • Preparing name badges for everyone attending event; managing client/supplier and other guests.
  • Liaising with global charity day coordinators.
  • Working with procurement and accounts team to ensure smooth payment of suppliers
  • Supporting the Digital Team in updating the Charity Day website.
  • Supporting Social Media Manager with Social Media campaign, including liaising with charities for content.
  • Supporting on the day as required, including registration desk welcoming team, liaison with facilities, security, IT and car support.
  • Event support for ICAP = Impact reception, held in March 2025.
Experience / Competences

Essential
  • Previous event management experience
  • Skilled in Microsoft applications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc)
  • Excellent personal organisational skills
  • Good written and oral communications skills
  • Adaptable, resilient and able to work well under pressure
  • Attention to detail, quality and control
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work confidently with people of all job levels
  • Team player
Desired
  • Prior experience from working on large scale events is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Content Management Systems and Email Marketing
  • Social media knowledge
