EDClass Limited is now looking to recruit an experienced Events and Digital Marketer to come and join the rapidly growing team who will have a primary focus on conference and event planning. The successful candidate will work within our Marketing and Media Team based in our office in Dinnington, Sheffield.

EDClass is a DfE recognised Online Alternative Provision that educates students throughout the UK that are not accessing mainstream education. As market leaders specialising in Online Alternative Provision, we are looking for someone who is experienced at planning and implementing events and conferences from start to end.

Job Description:

We are looking to recruit a Marketer to join our Marketing and Media Team who will work closely with our Sales and Retentions team, Customer Service Team and Teaching and Learning team to market our brand and business across the UK.

You will have a primary focus on planning and executing events and conferences over the UK to increase awareness of best practise, current legislation and speciality training for Alternative Provision while marketing the brand and product at all times. When not planning events and conferences you will take an active part in other marketing activities such as social media, website updates, content creation and visiting events.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Selecting and confirming the best available and affordable locations to hold face to face events and conferences
  • Organising high-profile events and conferences based around education
  • Assist with all internal and external enquiries for conferences & events
  • Event management on the day
  • Organising forums, webinars and podcasts
  • Coordinating initial conversations with guest speakers and special guests
  • Organising contracts
  • Managing venues and budgets
  • Ensuring safe travel for staff
  • Answering evert queries
  • Marketing events and conferences through a variety of media
  • Organising promotional merchandise
  • Planning giveaways, competitions and prizes
  • Identifying and creating new ways to engage with our target audience
  • Build relationships with key people within the education sector who will champion online alternative provision within the education industry
  • You will need to be an influencer, a networker and capable of developing key business relationships across the sector
  • Attend weekly team meetings
  • Undertake any specialist training required by EDClass

Person Specification:

  • Eligible for an enhanced DBS check
  • Results-oriented
  • solid work ethic
  • Solid computer and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well using own initiative but also as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Strong record of achievement in previous positions
  • Interest and experience in event planning
  • Self- motivated and proactive
  • Extremely well organised and able to multi task
  • Capable of working well when under pressure
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Have the right to work within the UK
  • Able to travel (including some overnight stays)
  • Full UK Driving License
