Events Executive - Worcester

A fantastic, top 100 Worcester firm, known to us as a client for many years are keen to add an experienced Events Executive to their already impressive Marketing team on a full time basis. 
Based in well-equipped offices in an impressive setting, close to commuter links, the Events Executive will benefit from working with a cohesive team of Marketing leaders to deliver a high quality end-to-end event processes.  The Events Executive will work with our Marketing Business Partners and Marketing Leads who are the first points of contact for the team. 


Duties and responsibilities of the Events Executive:

  • Work with the Marketing leaders for events to establish and advise on appropriate formats. This includes working directly with the Marketing leaders and fee earners to ensure their agendas are engaging and consider the latest tools and strategies to add value to delegates
  • Identify all event requirements and content deliverables, and create detailed plans for their delivery
  • Source, keep track of and maintain the quality of our marketing kit. This includes pull up banners, stands etc. and other assets. You will know our kit inside out and look after this as if you own it personally. You will support with managing logistics, as kit is often required across our 10 offices and other event venues
  • Support smooth running ‘on the day’ including set up, during-event and post-event actions, and for webinars includes managing the firm’s online event platforms
  • Project manage the delivery of event communications, liaising with the Marketing leaders to agree process and timescales. This may include drafting social media posts, event descriptions, invitations and follow up assets such as web pages and emails
  • Liaise with venues/ stakeholders of events/ filming venues to obtain best value and ensure seamless event execution
  • Ensure clear and effective communication throughout the event planning and delivery process with all your stakeholders
  • Utilise our databases and event sign up capture forms to ensure invitations are leveraged
  • Manage RSVP processes and liaise with stakeholders to ensure they have visibility of booking data. Manage the events email inbox
  • Report on RoI including de-briefs and delegate feedback
  • Monitor and maintain budgetary control where required.

Skills Required:

  • Worked in a similar events role at this level, in a similar size/ type of professional services environment
  • Experience of planning and delivering in-person events
  • Experience of setting up and running digital events
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience of working with your marketing colleagues to push delivery through processes, ensuring the project baton is handed over effectively across those involved
  • Used project management software and Microsoft programmes and be super-organised
  • Higher level thinking skills – you will be a natural problem solver
  • Experience of delivering to KPIs in a fast-paced, highly motivated team and business.
  • You need to be willing to get stuck in do what is needed to ensure the team and firm succeeds, as well as being able to handle pressure and retain your sense of humour/ professionalism at all times
  • This is a very busy role and is best suited to someone who is highly self-motivated and a self-starter.
  • Ability to work productively under pressure and meet deadlines
