Events Manager - Heritage Site - £33k to £35k + excellent benefits - Central SW London

This historical heritage site is looking for an Events Manager to join its team. The role of the Events Manager at this iconic charity is to effectively, sensitively and professionally organise, manage and deliver a range of events on site to generate income. The events will include internal and external events, varying in size and exposure, attracting a variety of events that include some well known and some with high-profile guests.

SALARY ETC:

  • £33,000 to £35,000
  • Excellent Pension scheme, Up to 30 days of holiday (starting at 25 days) plus bank holidays, Discounts in the cafe and on-site shop, Training and development opportunities.
  • Permanent, full-time.
  • 41 hr contract (includes breaks), working primarily Mon - Fri office hours, but with flexibility to cover evening and weekend events (time given off in lieu).
  • Central SW London

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have right to work in the UK (not able to offer sponsorship)
  • Experience of Event Management in a Heritage venue.
  • Experience of planning, organizing, and executing a range of events.
  • A proven ability to effectively interact with clients at different levels.
  • Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • Effective in providing exceptional customer service
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skill

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • To be responsible for the organisation and management of all external and internal events on site alongside the events team and assist team members in the delivery of their events where required.
  • To draw up contractual agreements and invoices for venue hire.
  • Maintaining good communication with all suppliers prior to an event and ensuring prompt feedback is given where necessary
  • To strive to improve and refine the event planning and delivery process to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction as well as minimum impact on the buildings and disruption to on-site residents.
  • To answer all event enquiries via email and telephone and responding to clients accordingly.
  • To conduct informative and inspiring site visits of the event spaces with potential clients.
  • To conduct Market Research and producing competitor analysis reports
  • To develop and seek new business relationships through attending key commercial events and supplier meetings
  • Support the Head of Events with the delivering of targets, strategies and initiatives in order to meet strategic objectives.
  • To support the catering operation for events, liaise with clients about their requirements, providing quotes, contracts and supporting the operational delivery of the event.
