Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (Until November 2024)

Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week

About The Role:

The Events Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the annual BSRIA Briefing event, ensuring it meets the organisation’s standards and objectives. This role involves managing the event budget, coordinating logistics, and working closely with the Marketing team to promote the event effectively.

The Events Manager will also liaise with external vendors, sponsors, and speakers, ensuring smooth operations on the event day. Key responsibilities include stakeholder management, creative event planning, and handling administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organisational, and project management skills, along with the ability to problem-solve under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism as a brand ambassador for the organisation.

Primary Duties: (Not exhaustive)

  • Manage event budget and schedule – maintain accurate records of all expenditures
  • Collaborate with the whole Marketing team to ensure the event is advertised through relevant channels, consistent messaging is used, and brand guidelines are adhered to
  • Create a stakeholder and working group for the event to ensure all relevant employees are updated on progress made and aware of their roles for the event
  • Co-ordinate with talent agency (and speakers directly) to manage event content, event timings and promotion of speaker profiles
  • Reach out to potential sponsors and collaborators for the event – act as the main point-of contact for all sponsorship agreements and sales activity
  • Coming up with new innovative ideas for the event and promotional campaign
  • Ensure the smooth running of logistics and front-of-house on the event day
  • Liaise with external vendors and suppliers on the requirements for the event
  • Carrying out administrative tasks such as – booking hotels, managing dietary requirements, organising site visits, raising purchase orders, sending invoices, and answering customer queries
  • Coordinate with internal departments and senior team members on guest and VIP invites
  • Analyse campaign performance and provide insights and recommendations
  • Represent and support the organisation at industry events and networking opportunities (International and domestic travel will be required)
  • Work with our PR agency to manage media exposure of the event and invites to journalists
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the organisation's values and offerings

Qualification(s) Required:

  • A degree in event management – desirable
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar events role – essential
