Exams Officer and Data Manager Required for Outstanding Secondary School in Southampton

About the Role

As Exams Officer, you will:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of all internal and external examinations.

  • Develop and manage the school’s exam timetable, promptly communicating any changes to students and staff.

  • Accurately process exam entries, meeting all submission deadlines.

  • Lead and manage a team of invigilators during exam periods.

  • Organise external assessments and vocational course exams.

As Data Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strategic and operational management of the school’s Management Information System (MIS).

  • Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of all school data.

  • Collaborating with senior leadership, governors, and trustees to provide comprehensive performance data.

  • Establishing strong relationships with data providers, such as attendance officers, HR, and examination teams.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience as an Exams Officer or Data Manager in a school setting.

  • Strong working knowledge of database management, including proficiency in SIMS or similar systems.

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • A passion for working within a high-achieving educational environment.

  • A valid enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check or willingness to obtain one.
