About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS2 Teacher (M3 to M6) to join our team. This role is perfect for a teacher who is committed to safeguarding children in every interaction and eager to contribute to a multicultural, inclusive school environment. You will work collaboratively with other staff members, following the trust's code of conduct and meeting all Teacher Standards in line with trust expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the teaching and learning handbook to deliver a sequential, progressive, and inspiring KS2 curriculum.
  • Systematically plan, teach, adapt, assess, and deliver interventions based on KS2 objectives.
  • Commit to assessment procedures, meeting deadlines, and providing timely feedback to students.
  • Foster a love of learning, ensuring every child receives purposeful feedback for every area of learning.
  • Be a positive role model, create a safe and stimulating learning environment, and ensure a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Comply with safeguarding and equality duties, contribute to professional development, and engage with policies and procedures.

About the School: Our school in Harrow is a multicultural single academy with large grounds and excellent facilities, including staff parking and easy access to public transport. We are a three-form entry school with a dedicated Deaf Provision on site, supporting 13 children who use BSL to communicate. Each child has their own SEN TA in the classroom.

As part of UNICEF's Rights Respecting Schools, our ethos centers around respect and inclusion. Although we rarely have vacancies, opportunities have arisen due to recent relocations and leadership changes. Our headteacher, who has been with us for 22 years, is experienced in supporting international teachers and can assist with any questions you may have.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in the KS2 setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Based in Harrow or able to commute
