We are seeking an Executive Assistant/Compliance Officer to join our clients award-winning company with a rich history spanning nearly a century.

This role is integral to the operations team, providing support to the Managing Director and General Manager, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and managing energy procurement.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the MD and General Manager, assisting with a variety of tasks as required.
  • Attend and accurately minute in-house meetings.
  • Manage compliance reporting to DEFRA, including UK-ETS, IPPC, and assistance with the A2 Environmental Permit.
  • Administer and prepare for audits related to ISO14001 and ISO 50001, as well as maintaining other certifications.
  • Understand and uphold Health and Safety compliance standards.
  • Conduct regular reporting to industry bodies and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee energy contracts, assist in the procurement of gas and electricity supplies, and constantly monitor energy usage, reporting findings to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in various IT applications, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Optimistic, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
  • An active interest in the company’s well-being and a commitment to its success.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.
  • Previous experience (2-3 years) in a PA/EA or Office Manager role is highly desirable.
