Executive Director We are seeking an Executive Director to support business expansion plans and join our PSG team. Do you have a track record of building and maintaining a book of new business across the Professional Services industry, with a particular focus on law firms? Aon’s Professional Services Group (PSG) is a UK focused client facing team (Retail) with responsibility for a book of clients including Law firms, Accounting Firms, Consultancies and Design & Construct firms. The team works closely with the Wholesale Broking and Claims team (part of the Global Broking Centre), who are market facing and handle placement. What the day will look like The ambition for the role is to build a revenue stream of c1.5m-£2m per annum within 4 years (c50% of the role) and take on a leadership role on servicing existing major accounts (c50% of the role). This would include both core revenues from fees and brokerage on placing core insurance programmes (professional indemnity, d&o, general lines etc) as well as revenue generated from ancillary services such as risk consulting, m&a etc. Whilst the individual will be expected to lead the charge on achieving this ambition, there will be support from both senior and junior members within the team. Additionally, as revenues grow, the individual will be able to build a team of additional resource around them to support the incremental revenue growth across the business. How this opportunity is different This is a senior role with commercial and leadership responsibilities.. Skills and experience that will lead to success Relationship builder who is seen as a trusted advisor to clients and adept at building long term relationships with senior stakeholders (Partner; C-Level). Experienced practitioner in professional indemnity insurance for professional services firms, who is seen as a trusted advisor by their existing clients. Track record of developing new business opportunities and obtaining/utilising support from bid support; marketing etc at the right moment. Strategic thinker who can develop/refine a target list of clients, map relationships and craft a strategy to source new opportunities. Develops an understanding of other solutions lines enabling the individual to bring relevant solutions to our clients. Operates with a ‘one firm’ approach and spots opportunities on new and existing accounts outside of corporate insurances e.g., human capital, benefits, pensions etc. Strong technical knowledge enabling the individual to act with autonomy across their client portfolio and train/develop other members of staff. Acts as a leader across a portfolio of complex clients and has the gravitas to be seen as a leader by clients. Experienced in leading a team or line managing colleagues, as well as account teams. An effective delegator, who can drive productivity across their account teams and remain focussed on client and colleague leadership. Acts a member of the PSG leadership team and contributes to strategy discussions. A team player who takes time to understand the team culture and embraces the supportive and collaborative nature of the team. Understands where assistance is required across the team and offers support where required. Has an accountability mindset and understand the dynamics of the overall PSG P&L, and plays a role in supporting/executing on actions to manage the P&L.
