Exhibition Event Director - Sports

Salary - up to £60k + uncapped commission

Based Greater London (South) - 2 day work week

We are looking for an Event Director to work at a well establishing sports and wellbeing exhibition company based in Greater London. The client is in a period of expansion and need the candidate to launch a new international exhibition in Holland.

The ideal candidate will be commercially minded and have experience as an Event Manager/Event Director. Senior Event Sales professionals will also be considered as a step up.

What will this role include?

• Lead Sales & Strategy: Define the sales and strategy plan for new events, focusing on maximizing sales, client satisfaction, and KPIs.
• Optimize Operations: Improve department efficiency by tracking trends, streamlining processes, and allocating resources effectively
• Manage Finances: Oversee financial forecasting, billing, and spending, ensuring budget adherence and reconciliation.
• Develop Value Proposition: Lead the creation of a compelling value proposition for the Expo, including innovative offerings and sales tools.
• Drive Revenue Growth: Review pricing policies, manage marketing budgets, and collaborate to raise visitor traffic and revenue.
• Build Client Relationships: Liaise with key stakeholders (Marketing, Operations, Content) to deliver a seamless client experience
• Expand Business: Actively seek new revenue opportunities by attending exhibitions and implementing process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Event Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Exhibition Expertise: Extensive experience planning and executing large-scale exhibitions, with a deep understanding of industry best practices.
• Business Acumen: Strong sales skills, budget management expertise, and a solid grasp of the exhibition industry landscape.
• Creative Visionary: A passion for crafting memorable event experiences, with the ability to innovate and embrace new technologies.
• Results-Oriented: Proven problem-solving skills, a focus on data-driven decision making, and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
