Location: Airdrie
Position: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: Depending on skills and experience
Hours: 45 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 17:30)

Skills Required:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in lorry-mounted cranes
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining, servicing, and repairing various crane and lifting equipment
  • Knowledge of LOLER regulations
  • Ability to perform and oversee loader testing
  • Team management and decision-making skills regarding equipment condition and use
  • Strong relationship-building skills and customer influence abilities
  • Full and clean driving licence
  • Capability to lead and train junior engineers

Specific Tasks Include:

  • Reporting to Crane Department Management and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Best Practices Policies
  • Performing preventative maintenance and servicing to prolong crane life
  • Achieving first-time fix rates to reduce avoidable costs
  • Advising on crane-related and lifting operation matters
  • Reducing crane breakdowns through preventative maintenance
  • Conducting fault diagnosis and root cause analysis on failed components
  • Completing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Point of Work Risk Assessments
  • Collating crane performance data and sending monthly reports to the manager
  • Utilising continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to optimise crane availability, reliability, and performance
