Experienced Home Carer (relief cover)

Experienced Carer to cover holiday relief, sickness, etc.

Basic Duties to be undertaken

An experienced carer is required to support a man with his care needs, living in the Culloden area of Inverness. This post will include weekend work, day and night shifts.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

· Build a supportive & responsive relationship to this gentleman’s care needs
· Assist with washing, dressing, continence care and hoisting
· Meal Preparation
· Use of a ceiling hoist whilst being mindful of moving & handling techniques at all times
· Work with an agreed care plan and under the direction of the supported person
· Awareness of Health & Safety Legislation with regards to caring for someone in their own home
· Promote healthier well-being by assisting with rehabilitation programs

· Flexible & Adaptable with the ability to manage a range of support tasks
· Honest, Reliable and Trustworthy
· Ability to work unsupervised

Hours of Work

Hours: up to 48 hours, shifts can be combined to allow for 24 hour care

Hourly Rate

Salary: £13.25 plus holiday allowance and pension
