Job Description: Blue Arrow is seeking a confident and skilled Sous Chef to work with a leading provider of corporate catering services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership abilities, and the ability to thrive in a corporate catering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Oversee food inventory and ensure proper stock levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume catering or corporate environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Creative and innovative approach to menu development.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
