External Communications Officer - Potters Bar (5 days in office) - Up to £40,000
I've got an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced business, who are going through a period of growth after being privately backed.
You will be joining the Head of Business Communications as they grow the communications team around you.
External Communications Officer
The role will require proactive engagement with all business areas to support business growth by managing and developing their external communications strategy. Responsible for the planning and delivery of multi-channel communications including events.
They are looking for a confident and detail focussed communications officer to contribute to and develop integrated communications driving stakeholder engagement through clear brand identity and media management. Develop their ESG offering, delivery and reporting.
About You:
- Minimum 2 year' experience in an external communications position
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience using digital design systems including Adobe Creative Cloud is essential.
- Experience managing companies LinkedIn page
- Experience with uniform release & written your own releases.
- Pro-active self starter
- Proficient in the use of video editing software is essential.
- Demonstrated experience of managing and reporting ESG impact.
- Experience managing a multitude of communication channels including press, website, social media and events.
- Accredited member of either CIPR, CIM, ACEJMC or similar.
The Role:
- Deliver external communications using a multitude of channels and content creating platforms against the Business Communications plan.
- Ensure that all communications reflect SHEQ policy and procedures.
- Proactively source content for communications and identify appropriate channel to publish.
- Deliver creative and compelling content on time and within budget to a high standard demonstrating an ROI.
- Work closely with the Head of Business Communications to ensure consistent messaging and tone of voice between internal and external communications.
- Oversee the development and distribution of press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials.
- Monitor media reports relating to the company's brand and amplify opportunities for positive Public Release, coordinating at all times with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate media events and press conferences including invite.
- Ensure that digital marketing and social media content aligns with the company's brand identity and message.
- Manage an industry leading company website content, structure and accessibility.
This role is based 5 days a week from their potters bar office and has a salary of up to £40,000 based on experience.
