EYFS Teaching Assistant

Hays education are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant job at a primary school in the Chorley area with a September start. This school has an excellent reputation within the local community for the level of support and education they provide for their pupils. These schools are looking for someone to provide general support in the classroom, as well as being supported by a dedicated team of staff and the class teacher.

Your new role

This job will see you working with EYFS pupils, so this may be within the school nursery or the Reception class assisting the class teachers and supporting pupils whilst reporting back on their development. This role is crucial in helping EYFS pupils develop their learning. You may be required to work with separate groups or work on a 1:1 basis with children that may be struggling. You may need to provide additional support in phonics, reading and writing. You should be confident in working with various ability pupils and immersing yourself in daily activities. EYFS experience is a requirement for this job role.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role, however, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles.
