EYFS Teaching Assistant - Sefton, L39.

We are recruiting a full-time, EYFS Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Sefton, L39, starting as soon as possible. There could be the option of securing a permanent contract for the right person.

EYFS Teaching Assistant role & responsibilities:

  • Use specialist skills/training/experience to support pupils and enhance their learning and so progress
  • Undertake programmes linked to local and national learning strategies eg. Literacy, numeracy, EYFS/KS1 recording achievement and progress and feeding back to the teacher
  • Prepare, maintain, and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use
  • To work with small groups of children and to take responsibility for their learning

Non-negotiables:

  • Previous experience of working with children aged 0-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity
  • Knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum
  • Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Level 1 upwards
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
