About Us:

We are working with a thriving and friendly primary school in Romford, Havering that welcomes all individuals into their inclusive, nurturing and vibrant environment. The school is looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant on an on-going basis. The school seeks to develop confidence, self-belief, independence and curiosity in all children. The SLT are now looking for an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant who can provide both 1:1 and whole class support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the classroom teacher in supporting pupils in English, Maths and Phonics.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience: Previous experience working in Early Years
  • Knowledge: Understanding of supporting pupil’s academic learning
  • Desirable: Experience working with children in a school setting
