As a member of the GB Retail Facility team, you will assist with the management of our facility propositions, working in a team to produce the best outcomes and solutions for our clients. You will interact with our facility Insurer partners to ensure that we are maintaining excellent working relationships and be responsible for the broking of all risks placed into the GB Retail Excess Liability Facility. Collaborating with the client service teams to discuss terms and opportunities for pipelining new business cases onto the facility where it is in the best interests of our clients.

The Role
  • You will be responsible for the broking and negotiation of each risk placed into the GB Retail Global Excess Liability facility, acting as the main focal point for both the Insurers and the GB Retail client service teams. 
  • Enforce Insurer service level agreements and ensure that Insurers are honouring the parameters of our facility agreement.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with the facility processes.
  • Work closely with our Facilities hub to deliver an enhanced service to the GB Retail client service teams.
  • Work to ensure that the facility meets all our internal governance requirements and that Insurer services are met.
  • Be able to work with others and contribute to forthcoming tenders.
  • Look for opportunities to drive efficiencies in the facility.


The Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent general insurance knowledge, in particular public and products liability and excess layer placements. 
  • Ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders and negotiate with insurers where needed.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment but also under your own initiative. 
  • Minimum five years working in an insurance business environment.
  • ACII qualified or interested in progressing with CII qualifications.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
