We're looking for a Facilities Co-ordinator with the skills to keep Ightham Mote in tiptop condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit and love the place.

Interviews will be held week commencing 8th of July.

At the centre of the Ightham Mote and North Kent portfolio is the beautiful 700-year-old medieval mansion, surrounded by stunning gardens and a 516 acre freely accessible estate. Also included are 2,500 acres of Kent Countryside, with Oldbury Hill and Old Soar Manor a stroll away from Ightham Mote and sites beyond, stretching from Cobham veteran woodland in the east, to Hawkwood and Petts Wood estate in the west, the latter just 10 miles from central London. 

Ightham Mote has been described as the mote complete medieval moated manor house in England. Romantic and picturesque, it nestles in the Kent countryside between Sevenoaks and Tonbridge.

Reporting to the Facilities & Business Support Manager,  you'll be working in a multi disciplinary team of 5 people, looking after our buildings and facilities.

What you'll be doing

As the Facilities Co-ordinator, you’ll be making sure that Ightham Mote operates as it should, by running an efficient, effective and flexible facilities service. You’ll help the property team to meet their goals by keeping standards high. 

You’ll be helping with maintenance and repairs (reactive, as well as planned and preventative), cleaning and caretaking, the presentation of public areas and visitor facilities (including car parks and grounds), preparing meeting rooms and co-ordinating deliveries and collections. Your typical work day could involve anything between carrying out compliance monitoring tasks, like checking emergency lighting, it might also include clearing drains, changing lightbulbs, moving furniture or completing reports and updating all our electronic records and reporting systems. This role has an element of manual handling and the use of high level access equipment.
