A rare opportunity to work part time supporting the National Trust South Devon team based at Overbecks with some travel across the area. Focussed on compliance and working closely with the Overbecks Property Operations Manager and Countryside Manager, the role will include assisting with office administration.

We are looking for a part time Facilities & Support Services Co-ordinators to provide essential services across the South Devon coast. Providing a friendly and efficient service, you will play a large role in ensuring we are providing the best customer service and facilities maintenance across a number of properties, with the aim of providing our staff, volunteers and visitors a safe and sustainable experience.   


Hours: 22 hrs per week over 3 or more days 


Duration: These will be a permanent contract, with paid holidays, plus free National Trust membership, a company pension scheme, with Perks at Work Scheme and 20% Discount in all National Trust shops and National Trust holidays.


Interviews  will take place on Monday 5th August 2024 at Overbecks, Salcombe What it's like to work here The South Devon coast is some of the most loved, most visited coast in the National Trust’s portfolio. Overbecks, Salcombe is a Grade 2 listed garden with a house currently closed to the public. Refurbishment of the ground floor of the house is currently underway, and the property hosts some of the South Devon portfolio management team. Significant investment is going into Wembury Barton, with some vernacular buildings in a stunning location to support the Trust’s farming with nature strategy.  Make no mistake, this is a busy and thriving portfolio of stunning countryside, coast, and signature properties. What you'll be doing The roles will provide an efficient, effective, and flexible business support and facilities management service within a technically complex portfolio. In these roles you will be working within the National Trust procedures and conservation guidelines as well as supporting the team (of staff and volunteers) to meet its objectives by ensuring high standards in business support, compliance, customer service and facilities maintenance. 


The roles are part time and with working hours expected across three or more weekdays.

Who we're looking for

We'd love to hear from you if you have: 


  • good written & verbal communication skills. 
  • knowledge of Health & Safety procedures. 
  • experience of managing or coordinating contractors. 
  • knowledge of building maintenance requirements. 
  • good IT Skills 
  • ideally practical experience and ability to complete minor maintenance. 
  • a positive can-do attitude.
