Are you a seasoned legal secretary with a passion for family law? A prestigious legal firm is seeking a highly organised and dedicated individual to join their team, providing comprehensive support to a dynamic group of family law solicitors.
Role:
As a key member of the family law department, the successful candidate will be instrumental in facilitating the smooth operation of the practice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing correspondence and legal documents with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintaining client confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of discretion
- Scheduling appointments, managing diaries, and organising case files
- Preparing court bundles and documentation for hearings and trials
- Assisting solicitors with research and case preparation
- Liaising with clients, providing empathetic and efficient communication
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a legal secretary, preferably within family law
- Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- Fast and accurate typing skills, with an emphasis on preparing formal documents
- Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and colleagues alike
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail
