Role: Family Paralegal

Salary: £23,000 - £30,000

Location: Ilford

Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm

Reed Legal are delighted to be recruiting on the behalf of a medium-sized, corporate law firm that is looking to make a new addition to their family department.  

Duties

  • Assisting Solicitors with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information for cases.
  • Managing case files and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Scheduling appointments, hearings, and depositions.
  • Preparing trial exhibits and organizing evidence.
  • Providing general administrative support to the legal team.
  • Attending client meetings and taking notes.
  • Creating bundles including ES1 forms, ES2 forms and statements of issues.
  • Drafting court applications and liaising with the court.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 years experience working as a Family Paralegal
  • Experience in both private family law and legal aid desirable
  • Law degree or Paralegal qualification
  • Strong understanding of family law procedures and court rules
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
