I am seeking a reliable Tractor Driver to join an established team in the Stratford upon Avon area, so the the ability to drive modern tractors is desirable (training can be given).

Job Role:

To ensure that all cultivations are carried out under instruction to given timescales and to the required quality. To ensure that all fertiliser recommendations are carried out throughout the farm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and welfare of the staff under their control in line with the company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Responsible for carrying out cultivations daily in line with the production managers plans.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of all fertiliser applications on the farm.
  • Responsible for completion of daily start up checks on all tractors and machines.
  • Responsible for up to date and accurate record keeping in the farm software.

TASKS

  • Liaise with Production Manager and other tractor drivers to implement daily any cultivation and fertiliser applications in line with schedules.
  • Ensure the correct PPE is being worn in line with training and Health and Safety policies within the business.
  • Accurate entering of all information related to cultivations and fertiliser applications on the farm software daily.
  • In line with the daily start up checks for tractors and machines, ensure all required greasing and daily maintenance is completed.
  • Liaise with the Farm Engineer to ensure that there is a stock of wearing parts for the machines being operated and that regular maintenance is carried out of both machines and tractors.
  • To work those hours as required to ensure all aspects of the role are fulfilled.
  • Any other tasks as required for the efficient running of the company.
