TezlomHealthCare are now recruiting staff for the position of Female Outreach Support Worker for a women's refuge based in Wandsworth, London who have experience working with victims of domestic violence and people suffering from complex mental health issues


Support Worker must have experience of the following duties:

Dealing with case-loads

Supporting victims of domestic abuse

Complex mental health needs

Supporting those at risk of Homelessness

Main Duties

  • Help clients to access services they need, and to which they are entitled, e.g. through setting up referral systems to health, mental health and other support services
  • Provide face to face, telephone, text and email contact to clients
  • Work with clients in a culturally sensitive way
  • Arrange interpretation for counselling and mentoring sessions
  • Arrange childcare for clients with children when accessing counselling
  • Support with writing of specialist reports (If applicable)
  • Identify and find solutions to (where possible) barriers to accessing support faced by this client group
  • Consider child and adult safeguarding issues when engaging with all clients and follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Manage the caseload and maintain case notes
  • Help clients with housing benefit, job centre and other benefit applications
  • Follow procedures, policies and protocols with other services so that the safety of the client is kept central at all times
  • Work 3 days a week
  • Work hybrid as well as out in the community as required
  • Be willing to undertake relevant training as required
  • Maintain agreed levels of confidentiality
  • Undertake any other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the post holder

This is a part time role working 3 days a week 9am-5pm
