Role: Field interviewer

Location: Caerphilly

Salary: £12.40 per hour + travel allowance (£0.45 per mile) + Meal coupon (ex- 5+ hours - 1 meal coupon -£5, 10+ hours -£10) + Maternity leave + paternity leave + paid holiday

Job type: 3 months (might be extended)

Hours of work: Minimum 22 hours - Maximum 30 hours a week

• Willing to travel a maximum of 40 miles from your original post code (not every day)
• Business car insurance and own car

Job description

This position will entail you to travel to multiple areas within Caerphilly, visiting the public and encouraging them to complete an online survey which will have been sent to them ahead of time. This survey collects important data for the Office of National Statistics and assists the Government with future plans/agendas.

Competencies required:

The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies,

1. Excellent verbal communication skills and evidence of persuading reluctant respondents to take part in surveys
2. Self-disciplined, self-motivated, and happy to work with minimum supervision.
3. Be proficient in the use of laptop and smart phone
4. Can demonstrate ability to be organised with well-developed planning skills
5. Proficient in using laptop and smart phone to receive, view and input information.
