Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Hull

Remuneration: £30k-£35k per annum plus generous overtime and call out allowances

Contract Details: Permanent, Full-time (8:00am-4:30pm Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities:

  • Examine vehicle tail lifts, reporting on their condition, safety, and reliability (LOLER)
  • Identify and report on tail lift defects and potential component failures
  • Service and repair customer vehicle tail lifts with proper authorisation
  • Conduct tail lift weight tests in a controlled and safe manner
  • Perform on-call duties one evening per week and one weekend in six (rota)
  • Attend breakdowns and service callouts with competitive standby and call-out rates

Are you a skilled vehicle service technician/ engineer looking for a new opportunity? Our client, an industry-leader, is seeking experienced individuals to join their small service team based in Hull.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a commercial vehicle fleet. This includes fault diagnosis and repair on both company and customer tail lift equipment and shutters, with mobile servicing and breakdown support.

No direct experience is required as our client offers full accredited training qualifications. If you have experience in servicing vehicles or plant equipment, a strong mechanical and/or electrical background, and excellent communication and customer service skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

In addition to a competitive salary our client offers a company vehicle, allowing you to carry out your duties effectively. You will also enjoy the flexibility of a full-time working pattern from Monday to Friday, with no weekend shifts.

One evening per week and one weekend in six, you will be on-call, attending breakdowns and service callouts. Our client offers very competitive standby and call-out rates, ensuring your hard work is duly rewarded.
