Junior IT Field Engineer - Manchester Area - £25,000 + Van, Fuel Card & Paid Overtime

Here are Lorien we're working in partnership with a UK based software development company who create bespoke applications for the education sector. Due to growth in the business they're looking for a Field Engineer who they can train up to provide technical support to their clients.

Your role will be field based, travelling to customer site, understanding the technical faults and the general break-fix. You'll be responding to calls from clients daily, assisting them with a variety of hardware and software faults.

In this role there is an excellent opportunity to join a business that'll offer you training and progression routes into a Lead Engineer involved with full installations and upgrades.

We're looking for candidate who has a blend of the following skills:

  • Motivation and desire to work in a field-based position
  • General knowledge of IT Systems is helpful (Software Installs/ Network Connectivity)
  • You must have a driving licence
  • Some knowledge of payment devices is advantageous (EPOS/POS/etc.)
  • An interest in technology and computer software is helpful as you'll get training in this (Education based or genuine personal interest)
  • Excellent communication skills


The salary available for this role is £25,000 plus benefits which include a company Van, Fuel Card, Paid Overtime, 25 Days Annual Leave and more. We're looking for someone to start ASAP so submit your CV now to be considered.
