A leading global bulge bracket bank are looking to hire on their Financial Institutions (FIG) Investment Banking team in London at the Associate level. We are looking to connect with outstanding professionals who wish to join this market leading team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our client’s Investment Banking business.

With operations across the globe, our client is recognised as a key player in the investment banking space, with a particular stronghold in FIG. The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is responsible for the origination and execution of public and private M&A transactions and capital market deals (ECM, DCM etc.). Our client has developed relationships with many clients in the UK financial services industry, as well as across Europe and the US. 

The opportunity is to join as an Associate level (this is not a graduate or entry level position) in the Financial Institutions Group. As an Associate, you will be a key player in the origination and execution of investment banking mandates, giving you excellent exposure to the full deal process.

Job Responsibilities

•Coverage of the FIG market (across various sub-sectors – banks, asset management, insurance, Fintech etc.)

•Completion of large and complex valuation and analysis 

•Support the preparation of presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue

•Transaction execution: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation etc. and liaising with relevant counterpart at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc.)

•Keeping abreast of key market and regulatory developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

•Strong financial analysis and modelling skills

•Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

•2 years + full time M&A experience

•FIG experience preferred but not necessary

•Solid communication skills
