The Role:

As a Finance Analyst working on the capitalisation project at Holland & Barrett, you will play a pivotal role in setting up a process to capitalise assets in a controlled & auditable manner. Holland & Barrett is investing in innovative projects which require an analytically minded individual who can get into the detail and categorise correctly, working with a number of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal with big data sets to assess both invoices and payroll charges relating to current work in progress assets, to group into projects for capitalisation
  • Assess projects in line with capitalisation policy to determine UEL and categorise appropriately
  • Model capitalisation and calculate depreciation, setting out in a logical manner to provide support for system capitalisation
  • Sharing calculations with external auditors and be able to evidence rationale for balances
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure projects are generating value and free from impairment
  • Support the existing Fixed Assets team in documenting the end-to-end capitalisation process alongside the remediation of the Fixed Assets module in the Unit4 system

Location:

Based in Nuneaton, this role operates under a hybrid model with 2-3 days a week on-site, supporting flexibility and productivity.

Key Requirements: 

  • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and manipulate financial data.
  • Inquisitive problem solver with a keen eye for detail.
  • Highly organised and attentive to process efficiency.
