Finance Assistant

Adecco is delighted to partner with our education client in recruiting an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team. This role offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible options available for part-time candidates.

Pay Rate: £12.38 - £14.17 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchase ledger, ensuring timely ordering and processing of invoices
  • Liaise with managers on BACs payments and direct debit entries.
  • Assist in maintaining the financial system, including processing income, sales invoices, and reimbursements.
  • Provide budget support to staff and handle financial queries promptly.
  • Contribute to audit preparations
  • Support policy development related to health, safety, and data protection.
  • Adhere to policies on health, safety, diversity, and professional conduct.

Person Specification:

  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and finance software.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • AAT qualifications or Level 3 accountancy qualification - desirable
  • Experience in educational finance settings and knowledge of school finance systems - desirable
