Reed Accountancy is excited to represent a local client, based in the heart of Middlesbrough. Who are looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Finance Assistant to join their vibrant and expanding team.

As Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department, ensuring a smooth operation of the company’s financial activities and supporting in the day-to-day operations.

  • Processing invoices and managing accounts payable/receivable
  • Assisting with profit and loss as well as balance sheet analysis
  • Reviewing loan registers and identifying re-payments
  • Analysing company performance
  • Assisting with budget preparation and cash flow management
  • Manage and report project costs across our developments
  • Conducting bank & intercompany reconciliations and ledger postings
  • Preparing financial reports and statements including creditor payment forecasts
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders
  • Working closely with the finance manager to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters across all current and future Group companies



This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow with the business. To be successful in this role you must be someone who is motivated, with a positive can-do attitude, and be willing to muck in and be part of their friendly and supportive team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Sage Line 50 are paramount for this role.
