Finance assistant

We are recruiting on behalf of a busy and friendly secondary school and require a Purchase ledger clerk / Finance assistant for a September 2024 start .

The school is based just outside of Newcastle city Centre and is easy to reach on public transport or by car. You will work in a busy Finance team , dealing with internal and external customers - no day will be the same !

The role is LONG TERM 

• Monday - Friday- term time only with a strong likelihood of turning permanent for the right candidate ( Conditions apply )
• Hours TBC but probably 8am -4pm

Requirements and Person specification 

• Ideally with experience of SAGE200, but not essential
• Experience of processing and paying invoices,
• Confident when dealing with supplier queries.
• Great Telephone manner
• Good admin and organisational skills
• Strong Team Player
• MUST have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one immediately
• MUST have a fully checkable work history and be willing to complete registration with GSL
• MUST be available term time as above
