Nigel Wright is recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join an expanding business within the Insurance sector. 

Finance Assistant
Permanent
£25-30,000 (dependant on experience)
Based in Leeds (hybrid working)
Full Time Hours



The role...
  • Efficiently handle the receipt and processing of third-party finance claims.
  • Manage the reporting and payment of premium and claims.
  • Oversee and manage the liquidity of claims floats provided by insurers and third parties, including associated reconciliations.
  • Maintain and reconcile all insurer-related balances, ensuring the integrity of insurer trust accounts and IBA reconciliations.
  • Uphold IBA liquidity across the Group in line with insurer TOBA’s, conducting weekly cash sweeps.
  • Take ownership of the insurance balance sheet for entities across the group.
  • Support the Financial Controller in ensuring compliance with CASS and insurer risk transfer requirements.
  • Liaise with external insurer contacts and internal functions to resolve reconciliation queries.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and automate processes.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis
  • Enhance accounting practices and internal control processes

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
