Finance Assistant

  • Location: Folkestone
  • Job Type: Temporary (Ongoing)
  • Annual Salary: £25,000 - £27,000

We are currently seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our team on an ongoing temporary basis. This role is based in the vibrant town of Folkestone and offers a competitive salary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our finance department with a variety of tasks, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations within our client's organisation.

Finance Assistant Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements.
  • Processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and expense management.
  • Handling petty cash transactions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Finance Assistant Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and financial management principles.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
