An exciting Finance Assistant opportunity has arisen with a cutting-edge online Fashion Retail organisation located in Wimbledon, South West London.

A Fashion brand with a strong purpose at its core that operates as a social enterprise business and has undergone a recent period of growth and transition. It is now looking for a committed, commercial-minded, individual to take the brand forward in this exciting growth phase of the business.

Hybrid working model (1-day homeworking).

Key Responsibilities - Finance Assistant

  • Bank account reconciliations (GBP, USD, EUR, Paypal, Amex, Soldo)
  • Income reconciliations - GlobalE, Shopify, Klarna, Paypal, Marketplaces
  • Post sales and purchase invoices
  • Staff Expenses
  • Reconcile stock payments and deliveries into 3PL
  • Manage VAT return and import VAT reconciliation
  • Monthly Payroll admin
  • Year-end balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, stock, VAT etc
  • Assist with fixed Assets and depreciation
  • Keep Bright HR up to date - new starters and leavers, staff holidays/sick days.
  • Order office supplies - Amazon, stationery, samples
  • Approve supplier invoices / packing lists — match to Buy sheet and payment plan.
  • Calculate actualised cost price by line once freight and duty is paid.
  • Update true cost prices in Shopify / reports for new lines.
  • Calculate weighted margin for continuity lines every quarter and update Shopify / reports.
  • Freight method: Review sea / air / courier costs to find the most cost-effective / timely arrival.
  • Logistics: shipment approvals
  • Logistics: Supply commercial docs and commodity codes to the freight forwarder.

Skills & Qualifications - Finance Assistant

  • Experienced bookkeeper
  • Excel skills
  • Any experience in Xero and Shopify is desirable but not essential
  • Confident communicator
  • A proactive and positive approach
