School Finance Assistant - Part Time

Location: Salford
Contract Type: Long-term temporary
Rate: Competitive
Hours: Part-time (2-3 Days)

The Role:
As a School Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in managing the school's financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, providing assistance to the wider financial team, and supporting the senior leadership team in financial planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, payroll and payments
  • Managing the school's budget, ensuring accurate financial records and tracking expenditure
  • Preparing regular financial reports for the SLT and governors
  • Handling purchase orders, processing invoices and reconciling accounts
  • Liaising with external auditors, vendors and suppliers as needed.


Key Experience:

  • Experience working within financial administration, preferably in an education setting.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using financial software, specifically the PS Finance system or other similar software


Candidates will have to provide adequate references and will be subject to relevant police checks.
