We are passionate about bringing creative ideas to life and are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the heart of the entertainment industry and gain hands-on experience in financial operations related to TV production.
Job Overview:
Due to the growth of the company we are looking for a Finance Assistant to support the wider team and group. We are looking for someone with a passion for the Film & TV industry, and prior experience in the industry is highly desired. You will be detail oriented, proactive and eager to learn and grow. You will report to an experience Head of Finance who will also support you in your continued professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing support around month-end and preparing management accounts, including journals around WIP and revenue recognition
Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
Processing invoices, ensuring that they are posted to the correct production
Preparing bank reconciliations and payment runs
Managing VAT returns and reconciliation
Managing credit card reconciliations
Maintaining production milestone tracker and raise sales invoices
Working closely with the production team to provide ongoing financial support
Work closely with the Head of Finance on year-end audit and group reporting
Ad-hoc projects to support the Head of Finance
Qualifications:
Education: A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Part-qualified (AAT, ACCA, or similar) is a plus.
Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally in the media, entertainment, or production industry.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (knowledge of Xero is a plus).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

An interest in TV production and the creative industries is beneficial.
