Description

The Finance Assistant role will be 100% office based in Stalybridge and is initially a temporary role for 3 months which could be extended. Reporting to the Financial Controller key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure payments and reconciliation of accounts are carried out on a timely basis.
  • Ensure all statements and accounts are checked for accuracy and payments are issued in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Work with broking team to ensure payments are obtained within agreed credit terms and promptly deal with any issues that could lead to or result in payment not being made within credit terms.
  • Take client card payments over the phone.
  • Receipt cash onto system and maintain excel cashbook.
  • Set up payment of client refunds using online banking procedures.
  • Bank reconciliation

Profile

In order to apply for the role you should:

  • Have previous experience in a Finance/Accounts Assistant/Accounts receivable role
  • Ideally have experience of Bank reconciliation
  • Be able to commute full time to Stalybridge office
  • Be able to consider a temporary role initially
