About the Business

Join a compassionate, fast-growing, people-based business providing 1-to-1 specialist support. We are looking for a multi-skilled Financial Business Partner to oversee commercial contracts, provide financial support and guidance to managers throughout the organisation. Our friendly 20-member finance team offers flexibility, requiring in-office presence twice a week!

Working Pattern

This is hybrid working based in Coventry with 2 days in the office.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts, as well as quarterly and rolling forecasts. Provide clear explanations for any variances against the budget.
  • Create and/or review financial models for sales tenders, calculating profitability and assessing financial risk.
  • Assist the sales team in completing financial templates for tenders.
  • Develop and/or review annual client budgets to set pricing for the upcoming year of each existing contract, calculating profitability and financial risk.
  • Support the operations team in explaining budget rationale to clients.
  • Ensure clear communication with your line manager and finance team management regarding identified opportunities and risks.
  • Support the Finance Business Partner team’s morale by collaborating with peers on team development.
  • Focus on increasing profitability and continuous improvement by analysing and challenging current practices and processes.
  • Produce information for auditors, banks, shareholders, and other external bodies.

Location / Office / Culture

The role is based in Coventry surrounded by an enthusiastic, knowledgeable team with great, supportive management. The office is very flexible, offering working from home 3 days a week.

What We Are Looking For

  • Ideally CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified but open to studiers or QBEs.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex data.
  • A proactive approach to engaging with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience in financial modelling is useful
  • Experience in a people-centric business is advantageous
