Finance Business Partner

An interesting new opening has arisen at a leading London NHS organisation for an established finance business partner to deliver a financial management service to a division.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Business Partner will play a key role in delivering the financial advice and guidance to operational managers in three clinical areas. This includes managing the regular monthly financial reporting schedule for the area and continuing the managing and development of a small team of two, which would benefit from some timely support and encouragement. In addition, as a senior member of the team, the post holder will contribute to a number of department wide projects and working groups, providing advice to directors and managers across the organisation.

You should be a qualified accountant with substantial post qualification experience in management accounting. Ideally this will have been gained in an acute NHS environment and it would be especially helpful if this includes a good understanding of clinical services in a hospital, but this is not absolutely essential. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to train and develop team members. Strong communication skills are essential to the position, though, as you will be providing a key link between finance and the operational side of the organisation.
