Finance Business Partner

My client, a global infrastructure company, are currently recruiting a Finance Business Partner to join their successful head office in Warrington.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially-minded Finance Business Partner to join a leading organisation in Warrington, initially on a 12-15 month maternity cover contract. This is a hybrid working role, and reduced hours/part time will be considered if preferred.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in actively managing project performance, growth, budgeting, and forecasting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Commercial Finance team and the wider operational management team, ensuring that the business operates in compliance with accounting policies - particularly IFRS 15 and revenue recognition policies.

What you'll do:

• Work closely with the Commercial Finance team and the operational team to manage project portfolio performance, including forecasting
• Undertake formal weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews of portfolio performance, reviewing key financial impacts and opportunities for improvement
• Prepare detailed forecasts for assigned regions / areas of responsibility
• Carry out commercial finance processes that support the monthly, quarterly and year end accounting close & reporting processes
• Undertake analysis to support transparency over the key drivers of UK performance
• Ensure adequate quality control measures are taken over all aspects of financial reporting
• Support a high standard of commercial and project management to underpin the financial reporting and planning processes
• Collaborate with Project Accountants and assist with coordination of their monthly project review cycle

What you bring:

• A finance professional with experience of working in a similar large company environment
• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
• Good understanding of IFRS 15
• A project-orientated finance professional with strength of personality and conviction in one's own decision making
• Ability to clearly present quantitative information to management
• Ability to effectively interact and communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse workforce
