Greenwell Gleeson are pleased to be working exclusively with a fast growing SME business based in Stourbridge. This £3m turnover, family feel company are set to be hitting double figures by the end of this year and are now looking for a forward thinking and passionate finance Controller who can work closely with the Managing Director.

Responsibilities

  • Overall Responsibility for control of Accounts Dept

  • Bank reconciliation

  • Cash flow forecast

  • Monthly management accounts

  • Accruals and prepayments

  • Inter-company accounts

  • Maintenance of fixed asset register and depreciation calculations

  • Preparation of monthly payroll

  • Maintenance of the Nominal Ledger, including reconciliations

  • Occasional cover of purchase ledger duties including monthly payment run

  • Work with all areas of business

  • Quarterly VAT

  • Production of year end accounts and year end file

  • Monthly Debtors reconciliation

  • Control account reconciliations

  • Budgeting and forecasting

KEY SKILLS/IT SKILLS·

  • Extensive management accounts experience

  • Ability to work with all departments across the business

  • Variance Analysis skills

  • Ability to plan ahead, prioritise and meet deadlines

  • Effective written and communication skills

  • Ability to make decisions and use judgement

  • Payroll

  • Strong excel skills

  • Use of Xero would be beneficial

  • Qualified Accountant, CIMA, ACCA, AAT or QBE.
