Axon Moore are seeking to appoint a Finance Director for a Private Equity backed, industrial services business based in the North East, to join the business to help facilitate a strategic growth plan.

The Private Equity investors and board have a clear growth plan involving both organic growth and M&A activity. The business has strong margins and EBITDA so has a sound foundation to grow and achieve it’s potential in the next 3-5 years.

Financial leadership is required to maximise this growth potential and create a more efficient suite of financial processes and controls to ensure the business can adapt.

The role will involve the following:
  • Take on an executive role in the business, supporting the board and the investors with the strategic growth plan
  • Leadership of the finance function
  • Produce insightful MI and analytics to aid commercial decision making
  • Assess available financing options
  • Manage third party business relationships with the banks, auditors, insurers etc
  • Work to implement a finance business partnering mentality between the finance function and the rest of the business
  • Oversee the monthly and annual reporting output generated by the finance team

The ideal candidate for this role must possess the following skills and experience:
  • Previous experience as an FD (or equivalent) in a Private Equity backed business
  • Must have experience dealing with private equity investors and stakeholders
  • Experience in an SME environment, ideally within a business or industrial services (or similar) sector
