Finance Director - Poole - up to £80,000
Experienced Financial Controller or Finance Director required for an established professional services business based in Poole. My client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to join the senior leadership team and drive the financial strategy forward. You will oversee the financial operations, provide strategic direction and ensure the financial health and sustainability of the business. You will work closely with and be a part of the management team to influence key business decisions and contribute to the overall growth and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance team, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and financial planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the businesses objectives
- Provide insightful analysis and reports to the senior management, including monthly management reports
- Ensure robust financial controls and compliance
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders
- Drive efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations and reporting
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives
- Oversee payroll, billing, and credit control functions
- Liaise with the IT team regarding IT investment and strategy
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Proven experience as a Finance Director
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial software and systems
- IT skills using Excel and Word are essential together with knowledge of accounting software
