Finance Director
Butler Rose is delighted to be recruiting a Finance Director for a fantastic organisation in Cornwall. Starting in September 2024, this is a maternity cover for 14 months and offers hybrid working with 2 days required on site each week. Therefore, it is commutable from most areas of Cornwall and some areas of Devon.
This position will report into the CEO and form part of the senior leadership team, working strategically as well as in a hands-on capacity as required.
Key duties will include:
- Take responsibility for the finance function and managing a small team
- Oversee management accounts production
- Support and implement organisational strategy, helping to make decisions from a financial perspective
- Oversee annual budget and re-forecasts
- Oversee the annual audit process and production of annual accounts
- Review of investment strategy to ensure money is spent appropriately and ethically
- Report on financial strategy to the board
- Business partner with non-finance budget holders across the organisation
- Liaise with external stakeholders as required
- Oversee and manage the financial reporting obligations of the charity
The successful candidate will be formally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience working in a leadership position. Experience within the charity sector is beneficial but not essential, what is important is being able to take ownership and wanting to help make a difference.
