A dynamic TV Production & entertainment company is revolutionizing the industry, and we need a talented Finance Director to steer their financial strategy and drive their growth.
As a vital member of the executive team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the company's financial future and ensuring long-term profitability. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, ready to thrive in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Duties include:
- Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies, long-term planning, budgeting, and forecasting to drive company growth and profitability.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and financial statements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring efficient financial operations and fostering professional development.
- Cash Flow Management: Ensure robust cash flow management and optimize working capital to support operational needs.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary financial liaison with stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Production Finance Oversight: Collaborate with Production and Management Accountants to ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition and oversee production-related financial processes.
- Financial Systems: Continuously improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a senior financial leadership role within the Media Production field, ideally TV or a similar industry.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Proficient in financial software and systems, with advanced skills in Excel and knowledge of Xero (a plus!).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
