My client, a leading construction product developer, working with some of the most well recognised and global brands are looking for a Finance Director to join them on a full-time basis in their Kent office. Within this role you will maintain financial control and help to improve financial performance. As a Finance Director you should assist in increasing company value through financial planning and analysis and have strong financial strategy skills.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure support of long-term financial objectives
- Provide strategic input and lead on key decisions that support strong and sustained business growth
- Carry out investment appraisals, review case requests and assess investment opportunities
- Work with managing directors to provide commercial support
- Work with multiple departments and maintain key relationships
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align different strategies and overall objectives
- Oversee accounting, treasury tax and financial compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with regulatory requirements
- Provide monthly reporting and drive financial planning for the business, by working with budgetary requirements
- Implement policies and procedures that have balanced risk exposure, as well as financial, reputational and operational risk and controls being well managed
- Engage with external accountants
- Timely filings of statutory accounts and execute an effective annual external audit cycle
- Approve any changes to credit limits and credit control policies
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role or senior financial leadership position
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance
- Proven record of managing financial operations within a medium to large sized business preferably within construction or manufacturing
- Qualified Accountant – ACA/ CIMA / ACCA or equivalent
- Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
- A great leader who is results oriented with great analytical skills
- Basic salary of between £100,000 and £150,000
