Protiviti, the global management consulting firm are seeking an experienced Accounting SME to support their global asset management client on an SAP S/4 Hana implementation programme.

Role Overview:

The Interim Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in managing and optimising the financial operations during a period of significant growth and transformation. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic financial planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of journal entries, financial analyses and financial statements including supporting documentation, income statements and balance sheets and other financial statements and reports and monthly account reconciliations and fluctuation explanations.
  • Make recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  • Make recommendations and assists with the implementation of departmental procedures and systems.
  • Understand the flow of data and how to use the various computer-based accounting programs.
  • Work with other departments to maintain information flow and respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions.
  • Support Finance transformation through participating in current state and future state assessment activities.
  • Creation of current state assessment document with all the gaps including process, technology, controls and change documented.
  • Develop future state process maps and document key design decisions.
  • Work with process owners to identify and resolve all emerging issues on transformation program.

Key Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably within the asset management or financial services industry.
  • Asset management or financial services experience is ESSENTIAL.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with financial systems implementation and process improvement is a plus.
