Finance Manager Commercial/Capital

Spencer Clarke Group are working with a London Local Authority to help secure them a finance manager.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Capital Finance Manager to join a recently centralised capital finance team. This pivotal role involves managing and improving our reporting processes, supporting a team of two Deputy Finance Managers, and establishing key relationships with Directors and budget holders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance reporting and business case processes
• Manage and support two Deputy Finance Managers
• Build relationships with Directors and budget holders
• Play a key role in budget setting and closing accounts

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant (preferably CIPFA)
• Significant capital experience in local government
• Strong management skills or potential to be a good manager
• People-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
• Keen attitude to learn and adapt quickly to technical capital finance

Salary: £62,457 - £70,401 (potential to rise with inflationary uplifts)

Hybrid working pattern: 1 day a week in the office, rest from home
